Here are some plots showing approximately what the lighting rig looks like normally.
3. Position of small dimmers – this can vary…
6. Standard lighting zones in the lightplot.
We have 165 poweroutlets in the ceiling. (230V 10A) These are used for 40 small 2 ch DMX-dimmers.
All patching is done in LXConsole (softpatch).
If you have small demands we also have an independent lightconsole which is always active and merged with other lightingconsoles. It’s an ”Artistic License Dimmer Switch” with six prerecorded submasters. It outputs only 48 channels (dimmer 1-48) so it can not access our Ledlights but all incandescents will work with that.
Apart from the power outlets there are also 40 DMX outputs in the room. They are spread out in the ceiling, on the balcony and on the floorlevel. These all connect to six DMX-splits, (Enttec RDS8, 1-in/8-out)
All these DMX signals fetch their merged output from a Swisson X-MG-51 DMX Merger. You can enter this merger from 4 positions (two on floorlevel and two on the balcony) The merger is at the moment set to work entirely in HTP-mode.
To dim incandescent lamps we use 40 small 2ch dimmers that can be placed wherever they may be needed.
Note that each dimmer can carry a maximum load of 2300W (10A*230V) – Each of the two channels has a 6 Amp fuse.
